The Dallas Couples' FIFA World Cup 2026 Plan Nobody Else Is Talking About

Day 1: You Came All This Way. Go All In.

Don't set an alarm for this morning.

Seriously. The match isn't going anywhere.

Sleep in, order coffee from somewhere that doesn't have a drive-through, and eat a real breakfast. Deep Ellum has a handful of spots where you can sit outside and watch the city wake up.

Uptown works too if that's your vibe. Either way, take your time. The World Cup energy doesn't kick in until midday anyway.

By late morning, start drifting toward the Fan Fest.

Even if you're not a football person, this is worth it. There's something genuinely strange and wonderful about being surrounded by people from 40 different countries who all care intensely about the same thing happening on a screen.

You'll hear languages you can't identify. You'll eat food you can't pronounce. You'll watch strangers hug after a goal like they've known each other for years.

If you have match tickets at AT&T Stadium, give yourself more time to get there than you think you need.

The walk from parking to your seat, the lines, the noise outside the gates, a stranger in full Argentina kit asking if you want a photo together. That's all part of it.

Don't rush through it trying to find your seat. The pregame outside the stadium might honestly be better than the first half.

After the match, don't go back to the hotel.

Find wherever the crowd is going and go there. Order something you'd normally never order. Stay out past when you planned to. This is a once-in-a-long-time night. Treat it like one.

Day 2: Now Get Out of Dallas

Here's the thing nobody tells you about attending a big event.

The day after is kind of a crash.

The noise stops. The adrenaline is gone. You're in a hotel room that costs too much, the city is still chaotic, and you're both a little tired in a way that sleep doesn't fully fix.

The smartest couples we know have started doing something different. They leave.

Not home. Just out. Somewhere quiet, somewhere without a lobby full of people, somewhere that doesn't feel like an extension of the event we just attended.

That's where Domance Glamping comes in.

It's about 45 minutes from Dallas..

Which sounds far until you realize how fast you get there when there's no traffic and you've got good music and coffee from a gas station that's actually decent.

You pull in and the quiet is the first thing you notice. Not silent. Just calm. Like the volume of the world got turned down three notches.

The accommodations are not what camping looks like in your head.

Real beds. Real privacy. No one on the other side of a thin wall. A fire pit outside that becomes the entire plan for the evening without you ever deciding it would be.

Most couples do almost nothing on Day 2 out here and somehow it ends up being the better day.

You debrief the match.

Someone brings up the offsides call that shouldn't have been waved off.

You open a bottle of something and watch the fire get low and then add more wood because neither of you wants to go inside yet.

The stars out there are genuinely ridiculous if you grew up near a city. It's one of those things you stop noticing until suddenly you're somewhere that reminds you.

Sleep without an alarm. Wake up when you wake up. Make coffee. Sit outside while the morning does its thing.

That's the day. That's the part that makes the whole trip feel like a trip.

Why This Combination Actually Works

The match is the event. But events alone aren't trips. They're things that happened to you.

The night at Domance is what turns this into something you chose together, planned together, and cameback from feeling like you actually got away.

One is loud. One is quiet. You need both.

One Practical Thing Before You Close This Tab

Domance books up. Not in a fake-scarcity way. In a genuine there-are-only-so-many-spots way, and World Cup weekends are going to go faster than usual.

Check availability for your dates now. If you're going to a June match, don't wait until the end of May to look.
